Ouai Leave in Conditioner Review
Today I am talking all about leave-in conditioners. I just got a sample of a new leave-in in the mail today, and I want to leave a great review. We’re going to discuss the benefits of leave-in conditioners and why it is essential to incorporate them.
I have been sleeping on leave-in conditioners and didn’t see the benefits it could give me. I recently tried the Crème of nature Argan oil, and I couldn’t believe its difference in my hair.
You should think that the deep conditioner application would do the trick, but I was wrong! Before, when hair care wasn’t that important to me, I could never tell the difference between using a leave-in and not using any. I’m not sure if it is the product I was using, but I am glad that I discovered leave-ins again.
What Does Leave in Conditioner Do to Your Hair ?
Leave-in conditioners are also known as no-rinse conditioners or leave-on conditioners. These are not to be confused with heat protectants. Heat protectants only protect from heat, whereas a leave-in conditioner will add nourishment to the hair.
Leave-in conditioners are beneficial to natural hair because they provide extra moisture and protect the hair from damage. Most leave-ins also contain heat protectants, so there is no need to apply another heat protectant to the hair. They are so beneficial to natural hair because they are an excellent tool for detangling hair, which can be a significant issue in the natural hair community.
What is the Difference Between a Leave in Conditioner and Moisturizer
Moisturizers are mainly in the form of a cream, lotion, or butters. Moisturizers are mainly applied daily or as needed to dry hair but applied to wet or damp hair. The main reason why you may need to use a moisturizer is when you feel that your hair is dehydrated and is lacking volume and shine.
Leave-in conditioner formula gives your hair elasticity, hydration, and manageability. You should be using a leave-in conditioner when you have hair with a low porosity level, if your hair is tangled and if you want to spruce up your hair.
I like to use both leave-in and moisturizer. This way, I am getting the best of both worlds. And FYI, I was only using moisturizer on dry hair, as I mentioned above. But now that I can see the difference in my hair after using a great leave-in conditioner, I have decided to use both, and my hair loves it!
Reasons Why You Should Use Oaui Leave-in Conditioner
1. Is a Good Leave in Conditioner
To my surprise, I found that this leave-in conditioner, out of many leave-ins, to be a great detangler. Many leave-in conditioners has detangling capabilities, and the Oaui leave-in conditioner delivers just that. And it doesn’t dry out the hair.
Also, you may think that this conditioner is for fine hair but it is not. It is a great leave in conditioner for all hair types, especially dry hair. It is designed for prepping the hair for heat styling.
I am sold on this leave-in because it does a great job at detangling my hair and keeping it smooth and straight. A comparable leave-in would have to be the Crème of Nature argan oil leave-in conditioner.
This conditioner is a great detangler, but it is not as good as the Oaui Leave-in conditioner. The reason why is because I found that my comb does not glide through my hair with ease as the Oaui leave-in conditioner on my hair. And the results were smooth hair but not as straight and bouncy as the Oaui leave-in conditioner.
2. Contains Panthenol
Another thing that I love about this leave-in conditioner is that it contains panthenol. Panthenol is also a top ingredient that you can find in the Motions CPR hair lotion, and this is a lotion that I use to stop breakage. It is not your typical moisturizing lotion, and when I say that it prevents breakage, it does.
So finding this ingredient in the Oaui leave-in explains why my hair loves this leave-in conditioner. Panthenol is also a vitamin that will help add volume and sheen to your hair. It is a vitamin that also helps restore hair and strengthen the hair while adding moisture and hydration.
This vitamin formula is for hair that is damaged and requires restoration and repair. It’s also the main ingredient that the Pantene Pro-V hairline uses and even their company name.
Panthenol is a vitamin that is being slept on, and I wish that other hair brands would contain it in their products mainly because it is so beneficial to the hair, and my hair loves it.
3. Contains Vitamin E & Hydrolyzed Proteins
The Oaui leave-in conditioner contains a great ingredient, such as panthenol, but it also contains Vitamin E and hydrolyzed proteins. I did some research and found that vitamin E is an antioxidant that assists with hair growth. It is also great on the scalp as it is an oil and promotes healthy hair growth.
The antioxidants found in vitamin E oil help reduce the hair cells’ free radicals and stress.
The Oaui leave-in conditioner also contains hydrolyzed proteins such as your amino acids and protein. Proteins are beneficial to the hair because they help to strengthen the hair.
This protein helps your hair receive and maintain moisture by adding shine and making the hair healthier and easier to maintain. It also is an ingredient known to reduce breakage, reduce frizz, and detangles the hair. All in all, this leave-in is the bomb, so I approve the hydrolyzed proteins.
So today, in this blog post, I discussed a great new product that I discovered from the IPSY subscription box. I loved this product and went over the history that I faced with leave-in conditioners. And have incorporated them more and will be buying the standard size of this leave-in.
I also went over some of the main ingredients in this leave-in. And wanted to emphasize that Oaui has incorporated the vitamin panthenol, which I think is super important and is a game-changer for hair health.
Finding the Oaui Leave-in conditioner is easy, and it’s available at Sephora right now, and you can purchase it here.

Hi Natalie, I really like the color strike, where can I buy them ?? 🙂
