Top 3 Best Leave In Conditioner for 4c Hair

Top 3 Best Leave In Conditioner for 4c Hair
Hello, my lovely blog readers, I thought that this blog post would be a fun idea to discuss some of my top leave in conditioners for 4c natural hair and also damaged hair . Leave-in conditioners are something that I have been personally sleeping on, and never thought that they would make a difference in my hair regimen.
I recently received a small sample of a new leave-in conditioner from Ouai, which you can purchase at Sephora. I tried it, and my hair loved this Sephora leave in conditioner ! It made my hair feel hydrated and soft , and was very easy to detangle.
I will go into more in-depth on the benefits of leave in conditioners, and one of the benefits is that it makes the hair easy to detangle. And that’s just one benefit.
Why Use Leave In Conditioner
Like I said earlier in the post, in the past, I would never use a leave-in conditioner after I deep conditioned my hair and rinsed it out as the final step because I never felt any difference as a natural. But now that I have texturized hair, I notice the conditioning effects of a leave-in conditioner on my chemically treated hair.
You should incorporate a leave-in conditioner if you use chemicals in your hair or if your hair needs some extra TLC.
Leave-in conditioners help to detangle the hair and, at the same time, add nourishment to the strands, which allows the strands to be full of hydration and act as a great hair moisturizer . If you find that you are also suffering from dry hair , you may also want to look for shampoos for dry hair, which I will cover in another post.
I also find that leave in conditioners are great if you intend to straighten or blow dry your hair, as the leave-in conditioner can help smoothen the strands , even protect the hair from heat damage and prevent breakage and seal in moisture.
So instead of just using a heat-protectant alone, try using a leave-in conditioner that has a heat protectant in it. In this blog post, I will be going over my top 3 favorite leave in conditioners that I love to use in 2021.
How Often Should You Use Leave in Conditioner
If you are not sure of how often you should use a leave-in conditioner and don’t use it often, you may be wondering when is the best time. And how much should you use?
When I was younger, the only leave-in conditioner that I would use was Infusium 23, which was more like a high-protein/amino acids leave-in conditioner. Times are changing, and we now have more and more great hair products and more leave-in conditioners that we can get our hands-on.
Leave-in conditioners should be the last product you apply to your hair after washing and squeaky clean on wash day . Try not to put too much on the hair as it can build up and cause flaking when drying.
Top 3 Best Leave in Conditioner For 4c Hair
1. Creme of nature argan oil leave in conditioner

The creme of nature argan oil leave in conditioner is one of the first leave-in conditioners I tried when I choosing to go back onto the leave-in conditioner bandwagon. I am also finding that Argan seed oil is an oil that my hair loves, in comparison to coconut oil and other oils, it was indeed a game-changer because it made my hair healthy again and promoted hair growth.
The creme of nature leave in conditioner is a leave in conditioner for curly hair without silicone. If you don’t know by now, silicone is an ingredient that you should steer away from mainly because it can cause hair dullness and eventually hair breakage.
It is also surprising to find this conditioner without any silicones and I find that it is a great detangler and strengthens my hair.
The only con that I found with this leave-in conditioner is that it runs out very quickly. I was so used to the moisturizing effects that this leave-in conditioner gave that I didn’t realize how fast I was using the product.
I have to say that this is one of the best lightweight formula leave in conditioners for 4c hair, and I would recommend it to those that are relaxed and natural, although if you are natural, you may not notice its effects, based on my experience as a natural. But you can never go wrong with re-conditioning healthy hair.
2. Ouai Haircare Leave in Conditioner

The Ouai Haircare Leave in conditioner is a paraben-free leave in conditioner and also a shine leave in conditioner, which means that this leave in conditioner is free from the harsh radicals from the chemicals found in them and can be used on any hair type and texture. These harmful radicals can cause birth defects, fertility issues and can even cause cancer.
It’s great to hear that there is another excellent leave in conditioner spray that is beneficial to your health and that companies take the time to invest in preventing harm that these hair products can cause.
The Ouai leave in conditioner is the second leave in conditioner that I had tried since falling off the leave in conditioner bandwagon when I went 100% natural. And to me, this conditioning mist for hair is just as great as the Crème of nature argan oil leave in conditioner because it provides a lot of slip and detangles my hair well and is the best leave in conditioner for frizzy hair. It is also catered towards fine hair, color treated hair and all hair types and if you want frizz free hair .
This leave in conditioner also has a pleasant fragrance to it and smells very perfumy, which I don’t mind because I’m a perfume girl all the way! I also believe that they carry the same leave in conditioner in a fragrance-free formula for those sensitive to fragrances.
The only con that I found with the ouai leave in conditioner was the price. This leave in is costly, and you can go through the small size very quickly. And if I were to get the standard size, I would probably preserve it by only using it for special occasions, etc.
3. Pantene Gold Series Leave On Detangling Milk

Last but not least on my list of the top leave in conditioners for Natural Hair is the Pantene Gold Series Leave On Detangling Milk. This is a leave in conditioner that is affordable and for every curly girl, and you can purchase it at Walmart for around $10.00.
I like this conditioner because it is affordable and comparable to my other top 2 favorite leave in conditioners mentioned in this blog. The only main difference is that it is not a spray-on leave in conditioner and is more like a lotion that you pump out of the dispenser and contains shea butter and jamaican black castor oil.
I also found that this leave in conditioner is the best leave in conditioner for curly hair and more suitable for when you would like to do a wash and go. It does not provide extra smoothness to your hair when trying to straighten it out with heating appliances. It also doesn’t have any heat protectant in it, and you would have to apply for an additional leave in protectant to damp hair for heat protection.
Overall I like this conditioner and like that it is affordable and that I can find it at Walmart and is the best drugstore leave in conditioner for coily hair and define curls. I wouldn’t say I wanted it to have no heat protection, and I wouldn’t recommend it for sleek and straight styles. It is also great if you want to add shine.
Conclusion
With so many different leave-in conditioners on the market, it can be challenging to know which one is best for you. To help narrow down your choices, I have discussed my favorite top 3 conditioners for natural hair and relaxed hair. If you are looking for a leave-in conditioner that will help you achieve a straight look, Ouai leave in conditioner may be the best choice for you without weighing the hair down.
If you like the benefits of Argan oil, then I would recommend the Crème of nature argan oil leave in conditioner because it provides the moisture that your hair needs for chemically treated hair. Lastly, if you like to wear your hair in naturally curly styles, then I would recommend the Pantene gold series leave on detangling milk because the formula is for the natural look and doesn’t have any heat protectants in it. In future posts I will discuss the best moisturizing shampoo and I hope that you found this article on the best leave in conditioners helpful and give these products a try!
I agree completely with how you said “leave-in is something I personally slept on.” Girl I was the same way until I started experimenting with my hair and using different methods to figure out what helped my hair. One thing I’ve learned from Leave-ins at they are not all created equal. I know most people like to have a leave-in that makes their hair soft. I am fine with my leave-in making my hair feel somewhat dry because I didn’t realize that leave-ins also act as a primer for the next step in my haircare regimen. Also, I learned if I used a conditioner and leave-in regularly that I didn’t have to go so heavy handed with the moisturizer or oils. I haven’t used any of the products that you mentioned. But I have been eye balling the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Line. My hair loves argan oil too! I just bought some hair grease (Softee Argan Oil) to use on my scalp because it helps to keep my scalp from drying out. ( i know grease is like a taboo.) But it works! I’ve noticed my hair is less frizz and much smoother when I use it!.
