Wearing Wigs for Hair Loss
These days you can find many alternatives to wearing your hair. In this blog post, I will discuss the benefits of wigs for hair loss and review the different wig options in the market of wigs for women with thinning hair.
Wigs have become very popular lately, and they can also help you grow long hair if that is what you desire. So pay attention as I go over these topics in this blog post.
Benefits of Wigs
Wigs can be an excellent option for those who have suffered from hair loss and who may also need a break from everyday styling which can put much stress on the hair.
I suffered from a partial hair loss and setback about a year ago after putting too much stress on my hair when it was wet and styling it in a low ponytail.
My ends took a beating, and they looked chewed up, old, and scraggly and I had thinning hair. I cut around 4 inches of hair and now have shoulder-length hair. Now that I have shorter hair, I find that long hair suits me better, and I have chosen to wear wigs to protect my hair while growing it out.
I have also learned that wigs for hair loss are a great protective style that gives your hair a break from everyday styling, which can lead to breakage and stunt hair growth.
I also notice that I do not see hair growth when I am not using any protective styles. However, you may also notice no hair growth without protective styles. So, I am suggesting that protective styles and wigs for hair loss will aid in hair growth.
What Are the Different Types of Wigs?
There are so many kinds of wigs for hair loss in the market today. The trends in wig types have also changed over the years.
Lace Front Wigs
The first Kind of wig I want to mention is the lace front wig. It is an average wig that has lace along the perimeter. The lace makes a wig look more natural by temporarily bonding the lace to the skin.
V- Part Wigs
The following Kind of wig worth mentioning is the v-part wig with remy human hair. This is also the Kind of wig I use and my preference. I love these wigs because they are so easy to use and natural in terms of wigs for hair loss.
I tend to avoid lace fronts as they are not my thing. Also, I am not too fond of lace wigs because they always look unnatural on women, and you can tell immediately whether her hair is natural.
Headband Wigs
The last Kind of hair piece I wanted to mention for wigs for hair loss is the headband wig. I also use these wigs as they are effortless to use. There is also none of your natural hair that you have to leave out, and this makes it the healthiest Kind of wig that I like using and are the best wigs for hair loss.
What is Best to Wear Under A Wig?
When I wear wigs, I always braid my hair in cornrows going back. This Kind of hairstyle is also known as a protective style.
Cornrows are convenient for me when I wear a headband wig because it has no leave-out and is vulnerable to breakage from everyday styling.
How to Style Hair Under Wigs
Other than that, if I wear a v-part wig as a wigs for hair loss, I will still style my hair in cornrows, with some hair left out for a middle part. As I mentioned earlier in this post, this hair left out is also known as leave out.
Protective styling is great for quick hair growth because you leave the hair alone, relieving the stress from the wear and tear and breakage that can arise from daily manipulation.
Another option that you may want to consider when wearing headband wigs is to use a wig cap. A wig cap is great because it keeps everything under it in place. Hence, minimizing breakage by Keeping your hair out of contact with the wig could lead to snagging of your own hair and cause more breakage and damage to the hair.
Wear to Buy Wigs
There are so many vendors that you can find styles of wigs online that carry various styles. For me, there are two vendors that I trust and use and are happy with the service. Those vendors are Nadula.com and Unice.com.
Other wig weavers discovered both large and established hair companies on YouTube.
If I were to pick one company out of the two hair companies, it would be adult because they add more clips in their v-part wigs.
Conclusion:
I hope you enjoyed this post about using human hair wigs for hair loss to aid in hair growth with protective styles.I also would not recomend synthetic hair as they do not last as long as human hair wigs. They can be beneficial to the hair in many ways. First, you are not manipulating the hair daily, which can cause breakage. Second, you can wear your hair in a protective style and leave it for one month.
This way, you will be more likely to see hair growth than if you were not in a protective style. You can also wear wig caps to add more hair protection. I also discussed some of the best vendors to buy your first wig from. Thanks for reading!
