This blog post is all about getting organized for the new year and about the best digital planning tools of these times. I started my digital planning journey a few years ago with a physical planner. However, it was not until recently that digital planning was introduced. It is the next big thing. I have recently switched from physical planners to digital. You may be wondering why did I make the switch? Moreover, I will explain why I think digital planning is a better option than an actual planner. I will also discuss some of my favorite tools and accessories that I like using with my planner.
Although I greatly advocate for digital planning tools, I have not entirely abandoned using a physical planner. Therefore, in this blog post, I will also go over some of my favorite physical planning tools and accessories as I do this occasionally.

Passion Planner
I have to put you on the passion planner. To me, it is the best planner for ipad. After diligent research, I sought the perfect planner to improve my life. Now I am also a massive fan of the law of attraction. If you do not know what the law of attraction is, it is a law that states that whatever you focus your energy on will come back to you.
What is the Best Digital Planning Tools for iPad ?
The passion planner comes close to bringing your ultimate dreams real. What I like about the passion planner is that it gives you a road map to jot down your life goals and dreams. Then it gives you a worksheet to plot how you will achieve them, and finally, you have your game changer to help you achieve these goals.
This planner has been a game changer for me as it is the best digital planning tools for iPad in my opinion, and I currently use the weekly planner to input my daily tasks. The passion planner also has a physical planner, but I love the digital version so far. You can get your own for around $30.
How Passion Planner Improved My Life
Using my happy planner has been a breeze and is an alternative to the best digital planner tools. It has definitely helped me progress and achieve some of my short-term goals. With monthly pages I am able to toggle life on a monthly basis, and weekly pages allow me to focus more on daily goals. I even got a few digital sticker packs for free during the promotion and use them faithfully in my planner and in social media content.
Passion planner stickers are great to use and are similar to happy planner stickers. But to be honest I think that the passion planner stickers are more aesthetic and appealing to the eye. And like the planner, the stickers help you focus on your goals and you can use them over and over again!
Passion planner digital also offers a free planner and template includes dated and undated planners that you can access on their website in a pdf planner version in the free digital planning section of their website if you want to test out this planner before buying.

So far the passion planner has curbed my bad spending habits and allowed me to save money by setting small financial goals. I was also able to accelerate my career and focus on areas that need improvement and accomplish my goal of becoming an employee of the month!
As you can see, the passion planner is a win-win planner and is far more advanced than your basic happy planner and is the best planner out there.

Paper Planning
Regular planning is something that I would recommend to newbies to planning as you can find the basic tools at your local craft store, such as Michaels. Although I do love regular planning, it can be a pain to lug around. Plus you have to bring your highlighters, stickers, stamps, and stencils, just to name a few.
That is why regular planning is best done in the comfort of your own home. As I stated, I still do regular planning and would recommend it for those who may need a digital break. It is fun to play with stickers and washi tape. Your imagination is limitless with regular planning.
Another disadvantage I am finding with regular planning is that catching up with the latest stickers and stamps can be expensive. You would also have to buy a new planner every year, which can add up. Whereas Digital planning tools is cheaper and you can purchase an undated planner and use it repeatedly.

Happy Planner
This is where planning all started for me. I found my first happy planner a few years ago at a local Michaels and purchased my first monthly calendar. The happy planner is a planner that I would recommend to anyone getting started with planning. Even for a child, this planner is great for them.
It is very aesthetically pleasing and is a great-looking planner. It even has its only happy planner stickers. Unfortunately, happy planners do not have a digital planning tools that you can use with your ipad or tablet and are only physical planners.
I use the happy planner daily planner, which helps me focus on my daily life endeavors. So far, it keeps me organized, and I enjoy decorating my planner with stickers and washi tape.
So, if you are looking for a functional planner that covers your basic planning needs, I recommend this planner.
The only con about this planner is that it does not help you focus on your life goals like the passion planner. However, it is an excellent start to organizing your life. I still use the daily pages happy planner.
Along with any planner, you will need some essential tools to start planning your life. For physical planning, you will need stickers to decorate your planners. The happy planner also designs stickers, which you can never do wrong with. You may also need washi tape, stencils, and highlighters.

Things you will need
- Planner stickers
- Washi tape
- Stencils
- Stamps
- Highlighters
- Gelly-roll pens
- Pencil Crayons
How to Start Digital Planning?
What is digital planning? Ever since I started digital planning on iPad, I have loved my iPad pro and apple pencil as I also use them for studying and also use the best digital planning tools with it. It has been a dream for me and is also great for project management. The main difference between paper vs digital planning is that you do not have to lug around a heavy planner and its stickers, as everything is digital.
Digital Planning Tools You Will Need:
- iPad
- Apple Pencil
- Best Digital dated planners (Passion planner)
- Digital stickers
- Digital planning app (goodnotes planner)

Ipad
I must tell you that the iPad and apple pencil are an investment for the best digital planning and may cost you a pretty penny, but it is well worth it in the end. I switched from android to apple after I had the hardest time using digital planning tools on android. I found that android, it is more suitable for business activities and even education. I would not recommend this type of device for personal planning.
The Ipad also comes with a great pdf application called goodnotes that allows you to add annotations to your documents and tabs that you can click on. You can find this app in the app store.
So far I love the convenience of my iPad with the best planners that always gives me good news. I had the Ipad Air which is suitable for my needs and works with the second-generation apple pencil. The good thing about this pencil is that you don’t have to plug it in to charge and just have to let the magnetic strip grip the pencil and the air pad will charge it for you while you are using the best planner.
iPad Accessories

There are also some nifty tools that you can purchase for your iPad. Such as a Bluetooth keyboard paired with the best digital planning tools. A very popular Bluetooth keyboard is the Logitech K380 wireless Bluetooth keyboard. It is a great alternative if you don’t want to lug around a heavy keyboard or don’t have room for a laptop.
You should also use various folio cases with your iPad that you can find cheaply on amazon.
Another tool that I invested in is a paperlike screen protector which allows the apple pencil to glide on the iPad and the best digital planning tools as if it were a piece of paper.
There are also other ballpoints that you can add to your apple pencil for more precise handwriting.
For me, personally have not tried the different tips and really like the regular tip that comes with the apple pencil.
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed this post all about planning and the best planners for ipad. There are so many free best planner apps that you can use to plan. First, however, I went over some of my personal favorites, such as the passion planner, which is a planner that has a road map helping you accomplish your goals and is the best planner for goodnotes. Then we have the happy planner, which I would recommend to anyone getting started in planning and for beginners.
We also have accessories that you will need, such as planner stickers, highlighters, and washi tape.
